Abstract

This article aims to analyze the difficulties and possibilities of teaching Biology, in times of the Covid-19 pandemic, through the production and use of Comics. For data collection, students produced Comics (HQ) about the Covid-19 pandemic and answered a questionnaire with open and closed questions. We adopted Discourse Analysis as a theoretical and methodological framework, mobilizing analytical devices such as reading, interdiscourse and anticipation mechanism. The results demonstrate that it is possible to teach and learn knowledge related to biological sciences using comics. Based on the fact that remote classes have generally presented themselves in a very boring and uninteresting way, we consider that the comics, produced by Pixton, were a possible alternative for the teaching of scientific concepts connected with the everyday situations that students experience.
