DOSSIÊ: LÍNGUAS, POLÍTICAS LINGUÍSTICAS E INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO SUPERIOR: DESAFIOS E PERSPECTIVAS NO CONTEXTO DA REGIÃO NORTE DO BRASIL E DO MÉXICO

 

EntreLetras Magazine has an open call for submissions of articles, essays and reviews for the Thematic Dossier Languages, linguistic policies and internationalization of higher education: challenges and perspectives in the context of the Northern Region of Brazil and Mexico. The dossier brings together discussions in the fields of Literature, Linguistics and Literature, covering research and reflections on language policies, language teaching and learning, internationalization at home, academic mobility, interculturality, translation, teacher training, knowledge production and international cooperation within the scope of higher education. The initiative seeks to bring together theoretical reflections, critical analyzes and academic studies that problematize the regional, institutional, cultural and sociolinguistic specificities that permeate the processes of internationalization of higher education, considering contexts, policies and practices developed in the Northern Region of Brazil and Mexico.

The dossier seeks to give visibility to articles that present research, practices and debates that understand the internationalization of higher education beyond hegemonic and centralizing perspectives, considering regional inequalities, linguistic policies, public educational policies, institutional conditions, cultural diversity, multilingualism and interculturality. By incorporating contributions from the Mexican context, the proposal expands the Latin American dialogue within the scope of the dossier, favoring the circulation of knowledge, the strengthening of academic cooperation networks and the construction of critical and contextualized perspectives on internationalization processes. In this sense, the aim is to contribute to the consolidation of internationalization practices that are more inclusive, democratic and committed to the diversity of educational and sociolinguistic contexts.

Papers will be accepted that engage with, among other things, the following thematic areas:

  1. Language policies, multilingualism, and internationalization of higher education;
  2. Teaching, learning, and teacher training in additional languages ​​in the context of internationalization;
  3. Language, interculturality, and academic mobility in undergraduate and graduate studies;
  4. Literature, translation, and the international circulation of knowledge and cultural productions;
  5. Internationalization at home, virtual exchange, COIL, and digital practices in language and literature teaching;
  6. English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and teaching in additional languages ​​in higher education;
  7. Critical internationalization, decoloniality, and transnational perspectives in language and literature studies;
  8. Institutional policies of internationalization and their impacts on the field of Letters;
  9. Programs and initiatives for linguistic internationalization, such as Languages ​​without Borders and related actions;
  10. Linguistic diversity, cross-border contexts, and sociocultural challenges in internationalization;
  11. Knowledge production, academic networks, and international cooperation in Linguistics and Literature;
  12. Languages, identities, and discursive practices in international and intercultural contexts.

Authors from different areas of knowledge, especially from the fields of Letters, Linguistics, and Literature, are invited to submit articles, essays, and reviews that engage with the proposed theme. Submissions may be made in Portuguese, Spanish, English, or French, according to the journal's guidelines. Information on deadlines, editorial standards, and submission procedures will be available on the EntreLetras Journal website. It is recommended that, at the time of submission, the option "Thematic Dossier Languages, language policies, and internationalization of higher education: challenges and perspectives in the context of the Northern Region of Brazil and Mexico" be indicated.

The EntreLetras Journal invites the academic community to contribute to this dossier, with the aim of strengthening the debate on the internationalization of Higher Education from the perspective of Northern Brazil and Mexico, expanding the visibility and circulation of knowledge produced in contexts historically underrepresented in the global academic landscape.
