Abstract

The present article develops a bibliographic review of studies about Feliz ano novo, published by Rubem Fonseca in 1975, against the conception of Antonio Candido on literary theory. This research is motivated by the need to map scientific knowledges, built in recent years; so that it is possible to expand the study of this short stories by Fonseca on comparative literature. It aims to present a clipping of articles indexed in the CAPES repository of scientific publications about this literary work, specifically, tackled by Antonio Candido. This theoretical approach refers to Candido's conception of literature (1989; 2011). The content of research was analyzed in a quantitative-qualitative way by bibliographic review methodology. The results obtained demonstrate that the articulations between Candido and Fonseca are heterogeneous, it makes evident the potentiality of theoretical thought for literary studies and the aspect of questioning the social order that Fonseca's work promotes. It is possible to conclude that approaching Fonseca's short stories based on comparative literature, can make different research possibilities to understand the updating of his work over the years.
