Abstract

Language studies that deal with the pandemic context we live in are essential to understanding how activities have been performed/impacted. Using Systemic-Functional Linguistics (SFL), this research considers that language is influenced by the context of production and the expected goals. Thus, this study aims to map and understand which processes represent physicians' experiences when discussing their professional activities during the pandemic. The results confirm that participants most frequently used mental and relational processes to characterize the effects of the pandemic on their professional activities and interpersonal relationships.
