Abstract

In Brazil there are few theoretical studies about the micro-stories, which gains strength in the current scenario. The speed of our time has made room for a new form of accelerated creation practiced by good writers and enthusiastically received by readers. In this sense, in addition to discussing the genre, we point out in this article that both the reading and the writing of a micro-story is an exercise that will require of the reader creativity, power of synthesis and reflection on the said or just suggested, besides providing a joke fun (but not easy) as it opens up several possibilities for each reader to supplement the micronarrative with their prior knowledge.
