About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The TOCANTINENSE JOURNAL OF GEOGRAPHY publishes articles that contemplate the diverse readings on the geographic space, society and education. The journal's objective is to be a space for the dissemination of results of scientific research in dialogue with the local and global debate. As of 2017 it is a continuous flow publication with four-monthly editions of the Association of Brazilian Geographers Araguaína Section and of the Geography Course at UFT- Campus de Araguaína. Texts can be published in the form of an article, a review, an essay and a summary of theses and books.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted for publication in RTG will be evaluated according to their thematic relevance and theoretical relevance in the discussion. The originals will be submitted to the analysis of a blind evaluation by two (2) members of the national and / or international Editorial Council. After the analysis, a copy of the opinions will be sent to the authors. In the case of papers accepted for publication, the authors may introduce any modifications based on the observations contained in the opinions. In the event of an opinion unfavorable to the publication, the article will be forwarded to a third reviewer, who may reject or accept the publication of the article. In case of detected plagiarism, the article will be rejected.

Frequency

Articles submitted and accepted by RTG will be published over four months. At the end of this period, the magazine's number ends.

Open Access Policy

This magazine offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.

Archiving

This magazine uses the LOCKSS system to create a file system distributed among participating libraries and allows them to create permanent magazine files for preservation and restoration.
