Abstract

In order to address issues focused on the relations of space and place specifically on experiences in lived space, the book Space and place: the perspective of experience, by Yi-Fu Tuan (doctor in Geography, was a university professor and author of several books, including Topophilia: a study of perception, attitudes and values ​​of the environment) presents relevant reflections for the study of Human and Social Sciences.

Lívia Rita Castro dos Santos, federal university of Bahia

PhD student in Geography at the Postgraduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Bahia. Master in Geography from the Postgraduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Bahia, in the line of Urban and Regional Analysis. Specialist in Applied Human and Social Sciences and the World of Work from the Federal University of Piauí. Graduated from the Degree in Geography at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology, Salvador campus. Researcher linked to the Geopraxis group - The Practice of Teaching and Research in Geography (IFBA).
