Abstract

The work is a compilation of five texts written by different authors, whose research falls within the socio-environmental field. The connection between them is established by the theme of risk, with the manuscript's general proposition of presenting the concept and application of “hybrid risks”. The book is organized by Prof. Francisco Mendonça, a geographer who has dedicated himself to the study of urban socio-environmental risks for decades, in this particular writing he aims to show the importance of systematic and holistic analysis of different types of risk.
