Abstract

The book “Geography: currents of thought and concepts” is a work authored by Fábio Rodrigues da Costa and has the purpose of “fostering debate and expanding the possibilities for discussion about theoretical currents and concepts pertinent to Geography studies” ( p. 7). It was published in Curitiba, by Editora CRV in 2017. The keywords that characterize the themes covered throughout its 142 pages are: Geography, Epistemology of Geography, Currents of Geographical Thought and Geographical Concepts.

Author Biography

Eliton Paulo Novais, State University of Western Paraná

Graduated in Geography, degree, from the State University of Maringá (2013); and a degree in Social Communication, with a specialization in Public Relations, from Faculdade do Norte Novo de Apucarana (2011). Master in Geography from the State University of Western Paraná (Unioeste) - Marechal Cândido Rondon Campus. Currently a doctorate student in the Postgraduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Administrative Technician in Education, on leave for studies, at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS). Member of the research group "Continued Teacher Training", at UFRGS. Research on Geography Teaching, Teacher Training and Lines of Research in Postgraduate Studies in Geography.
