Abstract

This review aims to present in a few words the story contained in the book entitled “A history of reading” written by Alberto Manguel. The work is divided into chapters organized into two parts. In addition, the book contains end pages, notes and index. It is a novel whose narrative refers to different moments in the history of reading. The author talks about how he started reading, as well as his reading experiences.

Ana Claudia Reis Bittencourt, Federal University of Mato Grosso

Postgraduate in Specialized Educational Care and Psychomotricity from the FAVENI Institution. Graduated in Library Science from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). Graduating in Literature-Portuguese Language from the Federal University of Rondonópolis (UFR), I participated in the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID) and the Pegadógia Residency linked to the Literature Course. I currently participate in the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC) linked to the Geography Course.

Adinael Junior Pereira da Trindade , Federal University of Rondonópolis

He holds a degree in History from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (2010). He is currently an assistant in administration/class d at the Federal University of Mato Grosso.
