Abstract

Boff's work – "The great transformation: in economics, politics and ecology" contains a brief and pertinent introduction, called "The era of threats and promises", followed by three parts: Economics, Politics and Ecology as already indicates the title of his work. each of the parts it has, respectively, ten, eleven and ten chapters that allow a theoretical and empirical deepening based on examples and some paths to overcome the contradictions of our time.

Gustavo Henrique Cepolini Ferreira, State University of Montes Claros

Graduated in Geography (Bachelor's and Degree) from PUC-Campinas (2007, SEE-SP Scholarship), Master in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (2013, CNPq Scholarship) and Doctor in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (2018, Scholarship CAPES). He also attended the following Specializations: Management and Environmental Management in Forest Systems at the Federal University of Lavras (2009) and in Teaching in Higher Education - Centro Universitário Claretiano (2011). Professor at the Department of Geosciences and at the Postgraduate Program in Geography - PPGEO at the State University of Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), where he coordinates the Center for Regional and Agrarian Studies and Research (NEPRA-UNIMONTES). Coordinated the Geography Subproject - Cinema, communication and regionalization - within the scope of PIBID/CAPES (2018 Notice). He is currently the Institutional Coordinator of PIBID-CAPES Unimontes (Edict 2020). He has experience in the area of ​​Human Geography, working mainly on the following topics: Agrarian Geography, Land Regularization, Amazon, Teaching Geography, Rural Education and Socio-environmental and Territorial Conflicts. Participation as an evaluator in the National Book and Teaching Material Program - PNLD of Geography and Applied Human and Social Sciences (2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021) and in the National Higher Education Evaluation System (SINAES), linked to the National Institute of Studies and Educational Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP)
