He purpose of this article is to establish a dialogue between Geography and Election, based on the premise of the election debate for State Deputies of the State of Tocantins, analyzed in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 elections. We start from the argument that the electoral question also Is a geographic question because, in addition to electoral laws forming political and partisan representations in the Legislative Assembly, they also establish territorial representations, inasmuch as the parliamentarians have electoral bases, usually constituted by municipalities or regions of the State, and tend to defend the interests Of these bases in the state parliament, directing resources, works and public policies to them.
