Abstract

We deal with general and specific points of the spatial transformations and dynamics that the Belo Horizonte, state capital, has been experiencing in recent years, as well as the process of revitalizing the neighborhood Savassi already completed, as the current planning and guidance provided in the Nova BH Project. We highligh t and denounce here, a package of public policies that comes with the promise of adapting infrastructure to population growth, however, shows up interventions targeted to contribute to the process of social segregation and gentrification of Belo Horizonte.
