The Capivara River Basin, in the western portion of the State of São Paulo, has a high number of linear erosive processes and the impacts caused by rainfall during the summer in the tropical climate can cause the worsening of linear erosions. This work presents the estimates of rainfall erosivity (EI30), through calculations generated by the monthly rainfall totals of dry, regular and rainy years, of rainfall stations of the Departamento de Águas e Energia Elétrica, located in Maracaí, Paraguaçu Paulista and Rancharia. In Rancharia, an erosivity of 9,088 MJ.mm/ha.h.ano in rainy years was estimated, and in dry years the erosivity of 5,665 MJ.mm/ha.h.ano was estimated. For the three rainfall stations analyzed in the Capivara River basin, an average erosivity of 7,453 MJ.mm/ha.h.ano in regular years with an average annual precipitation of 1,400 mm was estimated, the erosivity of 5,875 MJ.mm/ha.h.ano was estimated in the three rainfall stations. The histograms and maps generated by the data of the Estimates of EI30 of the three localities favors the understanding of the rainfall seasonality existing in the tropical climate of western São Paulo. The map of rainfall erosivity in rainy years shows the spatiality of the erosive factor in a basin with fragility of the lands.
