Abstract

This article aims to analyze the linguistic expressions and memes produced by the right and extreme right to conceptualize the legal dispute between STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes and X CEO Elon Musk. Therefore, we dialogue with Fauconnier and Turner's Theory of Mental Spaces (2002), Fillmore's Semantics of Frames (2006) and van Dijk's studies on the discursive binomial Us/Them (2006). In the metaphors analyzed, emblematic figures from pop culture operated as a recurring basis in the construction of meanings and in the evaluation of the participants involved in the dispute between STF and X.

Paulo Handerson Rodrigues Mota, Federal University of Ceará

Graduando em Letras - Português/Francês e suas respectivas literaturas pela Universidade Federal do Ceará. Entre 2022 e 2024, foi bolsista CAPES no projeto de Língua Portuguesa do Programa de Residência Pedagógica (UFC). Atualmente, é professor de francês língua estrangeira no Núcleo de Línguas da UECE - Campus Fátima.
