Abstract

This study approaches the formation of English teacher based on teachers’ experiencies reports  about the course of Letters, and the challenges faced at the beggining of their profession life. The study used oral history and French discourse analysis. The data indicate that despite the gaps teachers say they experienced along the Letters course, they try to find ways to overcome difficulties in the foreign language for which they were trained to teach.
