The focus of the research is primarily to check how is the literary text of education in textbooks. Thus, we analyze which treatment given to literary texts in these media and how the methodologies used aid in the enjoyment of literary reading, given that such practices serve as subsidy to Literature classes. This search is made inexcusable for averiguarmos the teaching of literature is or not forming literary readers. For this, we rely on the contributions of the National Curriculum Guidelines for Secondary Education: literature knowledge - OCEM (2006), studies of Rildo Cosson, Marcia Abreu and Luciano Amaral Oliveira and others dealing with issues relating to teaching literary text in schools and consequently as the content relating to literature in textbooks intended for Literature teaching practice are addressed.
