Abstract

Peter Dicken is a geographer specializing in economics whose research focuses primarily on the processes and patterns associated with globalization. Graduated from the University of Manchester (1966), after completing his master's degree with honor and merit at the same institution.

Author Biography

Uilmer Rodrigues Xavier da Cruz, Federal University of Minas Gerais

Doctoral student in Geography at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Scholarship holder of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG) (2020). Master in Geography from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) (2019), Graduation in Geography - Emphasis in Geographic Information Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG) (2008). Research interest: Recycling network, global chains, urban economy circuits, social production of work, narratives of power and space, public policies for selective collection, integrated solid waste management, social technologies for integrated solid waste management. Responsible for implementing the CATAsig software, PLACAR DA RECYCLAGEM and for giving courses, lectures, training in several collectors' cooperatives in the state of Bahia, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.
