This work has as main debate proposal to bring the constituent elements of the paradigmatic matrices and currents of geographical thought and their role for School Geography. In addition to this starting point is the issue involving the differentiation between paradigmatic matrix and scientific ideology, necessary for a deepening of the main theoretical routes and methodological bases of geographical thinking. As a point of arrival we have the School Geography, and how we can bring these historical, epistemological, ideological and methodological elements of geographic thinking to the reality of didactic-pedagogical practice in school daily life.
