The taste is constituted as a geographical experience. This phenomenological study carried out in the city of Manaus (AM), aims to present the construction of a topophilia by Manaus through eating habits, whether by experience, by the world lived, by representation or affectivity. The research is qualitative, and was conducted through interviews with the subjects. Food appears not only as an end in itself, but as a cultural geographical dimension as it acquires a symbolic dimension, typical foods are landmarks that speak or remember Manaus through an intimate experience with the place, portrayed not only with words, stories, memories and nostalgia, but also building an identity through representation in music and speeches. Making Manaus its place for those who live in it or who left it, its topophilia.
