Abstract

The supervised internship is extremely important for professional training. In the Geography course, it appears as one of the biggest challenges. In view of this, we sought to develop this work, which results from the actions developed in the discipline of Supervised Internship II, from the full degree course in Geography by the Regional University of Cariri- URCA. The internship activities were carried out at the Pedro Felício Cavalcante Municipal School, which is located in the city of Crato - Ceará. The work reports the experience obtained, through conducting in the classroom with students of the 8th and 9th grade of Elementary School II. One of the main objectives of the internship is to break the walls of the university. In carrying out this work, data from our performance in the classroom were used, supported by bibliographic research of works such as books and articles by authors who work with the theme. During classes it was possible to improve teaching methodologies, advance communication with students and practice the knowledge obtained at the university. In this sense, we highlight the need to work with teaching through pedagogical knowledge and the social context of students. The supervised internship provided us with a unique experience, in this period of performance we learned to adapt the existing methodologies to the school reality, in that way a greater interaction between teacher and student was perceived.
