LETRAMENTO INFORMACIONAL:
um estudo do hábito de leitura e nível de letramento informacional dos discentes do curso de Biblioteconomia da UFMT

ABSTRACT:
This article presents an extract from the research, Literature Information: a study of the habit of reading and level of informational literacy of the undergraduate students of the UFMT / CUR librarianship course, undergraduate in 2017, in the Librarianship course of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) University Campus of Rondonópolis (CUR). The referred course is offered in an annual series and aims to graduate bachelors in Librarianship in the period of four years. The research sought to identify if the students of the 1st year of Librarianship, students in 2016 would be literate in relation to the informational universe, using two categories of analysis: a) Reading habit and b) Informational writing, in this article the informational literacy concept is approached . It was a qualitative-quantitative research, of the case study type, using the questionnaire as a data collection instrument. We used the concepts of reading, according to Tourinho (2011) and Mata (2009); Literacy in the vision of Soares (2012), and information literacy in the perception of Gasque (2010, 2012, 2013) and Campelo (2006). The research is justified by the opportunity to reflect on the informational condition in which UFMT's librarianship course academics meet, so that they can then try to develop intellectually and academically. The results showed that more than half of the students have difficulties to interpret and understand, which may indicate that some students have not yet acquired the information literacy.
