Martha Cecilia Mosquera Urrutia es activista y académica por los derechos de las poblaciones afrocolombianas. Es licenciada en Matemáticas, Especialista en Pedagogía para el Desarrollo del Aprendizaje Autónomo, Magíster en Educación y Doctora en Didáctica de la Matemática, y profesora de la Universidad Surcolombiana. Desde su experiencia, práctica profesional y profesoral y el bagaje amplio investigativo en el campo de la educación en ciencia y la educación matemática y la formación de maestros(as), la profesora nos ayuda a comprender los diferentes frentes de lo que hoy consideramos como humanidad y entre el marco del proceso urbanización de la misma ciencia.
