Abstract

The concept of the public market as a support for the preservation of cultural heritage has revealed that these spaces destined to generate economy, subsistence and socialization, also produce culture, generate in turn the historicity and the ways in which people make or create objects, artifacts, music, food, among others and that characterize the cultural identity of the people of a certain place. The objective of this work is to conduct a historical documentary analysis in order to address the history of the emergence of public markets in the city of Goiânia, considering that these spaces are living parts of the culture and history of the community, especially with a socioeconomic function for society and who need policies aimed at the preservation of these cultural heritage. We consider contributing to the discussion of public policies that implement market valuation actions and the continuity of the activities, offering working conditions to the holders of their livelihood.

Azenaide Lopes Pereira, University of Brasilia

Specialist in Cultural and Artistic Heritage from the University of Brasília - UnB.

Sidelmar Alves da Silva Kunz, University of Brasília

PhD in Education from the University of Brasília - UnB and Researcher at the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira - INEP. He has supervised postgraduate monographs, lato sensu, at the University of Brasília - UnB, at the Federal University of Goiás - UFG and at the State University of Goiás - UEG. Master in Geography from the University of Brasília - UnB, Specialist in Ontology and Epistemology from the Unyleya Faculty, Specialist in School Supervision from the Northwestern Minas Gerais Faculty - FINOM, Full Degree in Geography from the State University of Goiás - UEG and Licensing in Pedagogy from the University State of Goiás - UEG. Over the past 15 years, he has served as a Teacher in Elementary School II (discipline: Geography), in High School (discipline: Geography), in Pre-Entrance Exams (discipline: Geography), in Preparation for Public Tenders (discipline: Current Affairs), in Courses of Professional Training in the Federal Public Administration, in Graduate Courses in Pedagogy and in Post-Graduate Courses. Member of the Study and Research Group on Anísio Teixeira's Contributions to Brazilian Education (GEPAT/UnB).

Maira Vieira Amorim Franco, University of Brasília

Doctoral Student and Master in Education at the University of Brasília (UnB), Line of Research Teaching Profession, Curriculum and Assessment (PDCA). Specialist in Institutional Psychopedagogy from the Castelo Branco University (UCB). Graduated/Licensed in Pedagogy from the University of Brasília (UnB). Researcher at the Study and Research Group on Training and Performance of Teachers/Pedagogues (GEPFAPe). Professor at the State Department of Education of the Federal District since January 1998. She has technical training in Qualification in Teaching, by the Educational Center 01 de Planaltina (CED 01) DF (1996). Performs Volunteer Work as a member of the Via Sacra ao Vivo Group, responsible for holding Holy Week in Planaltina - DF, since 2001.
