This article addresses an analysis of higher education in the city of Araguaína, thus seeking to understand the historical, social and cultural aspects that interfere in social relations and in the formation of higher education in the city, both in face-to-face institutions and also telepresencial, whose problem is to understand if the city of Araguaína can be considered a university hub. This study on the multiple models of higher education in Araguaína emerged from the research: Reflections on culture and memory of higher education in Araguaína, and the question regarding the classification of the city with the term "University Center" was added to it, as it is a title complex, we investigated to verify its effectiveness, in particular we applied questionnaires to students and teachers, the resources used in the research were the data collection methodology, through questionnaires to the student body with participation in university religious movements, academic leagues and the body The contribution of the research to the scientific universe was the perception of the need for greater development and investment, with public policies aimed at the higher education sector.
