Abstract

The central discussion of this research is around the teaching-learning process and the importance of the teacher as a mediator of knowledge. The relevance of planning and didactic resources as auxiliary tools in learning and educational practice is also emphasized. It is a qualitative research, which carried out a bibliographic and documentary review, application of questionnaires and interviews with teachers. Access to education in Brazil is guaranteed by the Federal Constitution of 1988, and guaranteed by the Law of Directives and Bases of Education (LDB). We agree with Freire (2009) when stating that education needs to provide conditions for the student to be an active and participative subject in society. And for that, the teacher must always be open to rethink his practice, aiming at a greater objective that is in fact the student's learning. We also know that being a teacher these days is a challenge, more than it is necessary to have love and fight for the profession.
