Uma experiência no Colégio Estadual Serafim de Carvalho em Jataí (GO)

Geography, like other sciences, is used categories to explain the dynamic socio-spatial construction. Since the affirmation of geography as a science, some categories remained as the basis for the geographic analysis. However, the process of scientific evolution, some concepts acquired new scopes and new meanings. Thus, this paper proposes to investigate the extent of landscape category of assimilation as a learning element of geographical space in Education for Youths and Adults (EJA), mid-level, with the ambition to explain how this category becomes a theoretical / methodological resource for the teaching of geography. The research was conducted in the State College Serafim de Carvalho, located in the municipality of Jataí (GO) in the year 2016, whose primary data were obtained through questionnaires and observation room, and secondary data was conducted through literature surveys. We found that a mediation between prior knowledge and scientific knowledge is required, it takes work to reality using preferably closest examples of students' everyday lives.Words – Key: School; Teaching; Landscape
