Abstract

This study is articulated with work experiences with teaching Geography in a private school in the city of Palmas-Tocantins and experiences reported by teachers from the state public network. Its main objectives are to present some theoretical-practical issues that concern us in the teaching process in this area of ​​knowledge and expose the standardization of school geographic teaching, leaving this uncritical and neutral.

Mestrando em georgafia pela Universidade Federal do Tocantins, desenvolve pesquisas nas linhas de ensino, geografia urbana e agrária.

Ricardo Ferreira Miranda, Federal University of Goiás

He did his master's degree at the Federal University of Tocantins, with the project entitled: Miracema do Tocantins a city in (De)construction. Degree in Geography from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG- 2011). He is currently a professor at Colégio Marista de Palmas. Develops research in the area of ​​urban/rural geography and in teaching geography. He is part of the Education, Culture and Rural World Research GroupL- EDURURAL at UFT - Campus de Miracema.
