The experience of this report takes place in the context of the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) of the Pedagogy Course at the Federal University of Northern Tocantins/Center of Education, Humanities and Health (CHES) in Tocantinópolis/TO. From this context, we bring the experience of future teachers (residents), with the aim of reflecting and analyzing the development of an interdisciplinary attitude when participating in the PRP. To this end, we initially presented the context of the PRP, highlighting its organization and training cycle, which includes moments of collective planning, implementing a lesson and reflecting on experiences. The experience revealed that the activities inherent in this training cycle were essential for the development of an interdisciplinary attitude. It was also found that the act of perceiving oneself as interdisciplinary requires the development of the attitude of understanding and realizing that knowledge is part of a whole and is not isolated and that it is necessary to rethink our own practices as students in initial training and future teachers, especially with regard to eliminating barriers in our own understanding of the sciences, and that it is necessary to be open to new experiences, to create, to experiment, to be willing to live interdisciplinarity and also to make mistakes.
