O presente número da Revista Interdisciplinar em Ensino de Ciências e Matemática – RIEcim do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de Ciências e Matemática – PPGecim/UFT publica o dossiê “Gênero e sexualidade na educação científica: Perspectivas na américa latina”, organizado pelo Prof. Dr. Yonier Alexander Orozco Marin (UFNT) e pelo Prof. Dr. Jonathan Andrés Mosquera (Universidad Surcolombiana). A chamada pública foi aberta em agosto de 2022 e os processos de avaliação foram concluídos em outubro de 2022, de modo que agradecemos aos organizadores e aos pareceristas pelo empenho na tarefa editorial. A coletânea apresenta dezessete artigos, dois relatos de experiência e quatro entrevista, contando com contribuições de vários paises da America látina, como: Brasil, Chile, Colômbia e México. Além do caráter internacional do periódico e da variedade temática, institucional e regional, almejado em todos os números da RIEcim, o dossiê produzido oferece aos leitores múltiplas perspectivas para o entendimento sobre gênero e sexualidade na educação científica.
