Abstract

This study investigates the integration of geopoetry in education at an Agricultural Family School (EFA) in Marabá, Pará, over a period of 2 months, with interdisciplinary workshops linked to the subjects of Portuguese Language and Geography, aiming to develop reading and creative writing skills among elementary students. Utilizing the didactic sequence of Dolz and Schneuwly adapted to the local reality, the research adopts a qualitative and action-research approach. The theoretical framework includes authors like Dolz and Schneuwly, Krenak, and Munduruku. The analysis corpus consists of geopoems produced by the students. The results indicate that geopoetry promotes environmental awareness and expressions of struggle and resistance, increasing engagement with local culture. It is concluded that geopoetry can stimulate a deeper appreciation of poetry, expanding poetic literacy and promoting socio-environmental awareness.
